Hello Steve, nice to hear back from you. I agree with you, by the way, in that the little bits and pieces around us all have their stories. My house and studio looks like a junkyard! I have come to encaustic fairly recently. It is beginning to reveal its purposes for me. Trapped, embedded stories. I've made a supply of my own encaustic 'cakes' so far, but I'm no expert technically. I'd recommend artist Brigitte Guerzon Mills and Seth Apter (Seth's more assemblage). I have a book by Patricia Baldwin Seggebruch: Encaustic Mixed Media. Give me a heads up when you do anything encaustic. I'll look up your book artist friend's work; thanks for that. :)

I do like your 'conversation pieces' (my term) Steve. The little chairs are personalities in themselves.
