Cecil, the exhibition looks wonderful, and I think you will like being here on the ning network. I belong to another ning group and posted your exhibit there a few days ago. Thanks for all your hard work. Kate (+:
Thanks for the compliments Kathryn. I do like working with colors and trying new combinations. Will share more as current projects are completed - in the meantime take a look at others in my Albums below ... /;)
Oh! I never did answer your inquiry about the eggs. JoAnn sells Easter wreaths (a strange overlapping of holiday decor....are there are Holloween wreaths, too?). After Easter they are sold at a 70% discount (not worth sending them back to China). The eggs are foam covered with a thin plastic shell. The three large eggs are wood (Chinese) via Michael's. I have to stop shopping in discount stores!
thank you! i did one obama piece last spring for a political themed exhibit in lexington but the victory piece goes back before he even ran - it was more a 'spiritual' piece of art for me, but dang if it doesnt fit the presidential occasion!
the juxtaposition to politics is perfect...
Kate - If you can't be profound, you might as well be funny. What I'm working for is both. I'm impressed with the variety in your work. I wonder if mixed media and collage artists have a broad sense of curiosity or just a short attention span. I'm glad Cecil set up this network so that we can bounce stuff off each other. Keith
