MAUD LEWIS WAS A CANADIAN FOLK ARTIST WHO CREATED IMAGES THAT BROUGHT JOY TO OTHERS, EVEN THOUGH HER PERSONAL LIFE WAS LESS THAN JOYFUL. 24" X 36" X 1 1/2" ON CANVAS. THIS COLLAGE CALLED "PAINTINGS FOR SALE" IS AN INTERPRETATION OF THE LANCE WOOLAVER PLAY BASED ON MAUD'S LIFE, "WORLD WITHOUT SHADOWS".
THE COLLAGE & MIXED MEDIA WAS CREATED WITH TORN PAPER, ACRYLIC PAINT, ARTIST PENS, PENCILS,MULBERRY PAPER, PLASTIC BAG, CIGARETTE, CANVAS CUT-OUTS, PENCIL & PHOTO SECTIONS.
