Fashion Victims Exhibition

About the artist: ia Llamozas
Born in Venezuela in 1983, Living in Barcelona since 2008. As a journalist I have always been interested in stories. My work in photography and collage have enabled me to tell my side of the story.

I have always been passionate about collage. It allows me to recycle paper and prolong its life cycle by making art out of it. In my work I enjoy having a certain structure, which is why I integrate geometry. Out of all geometric shapes I love the use of lines, the simplest way to join to distant objects. Lines also allow me to create "roads" of vision to approach and mix images in a completely different way.

Fashion Victims Exhibition
Fashion Victim is a term used to describe a person who is unable to identify commonly recognized boundaries of style. It is precisely those boundaries that I intend to explore in this exhibition. Materialism, consumerism, brands and current standards of beauty are the victims of my work. By converting fashion icons into geometric abstractions, I seek to draw attention to the imperfections that today’s fashion standards hide, since it is my belief that true beauty lies in the set of all imperfections.

Fashion Victims is an exhibition curated for Romero Restaurant that will be available for all public from November 9th. to January 9th.
