I go for direct application and find that while I prefer the color of a glossy pic, matte photos are easier to work with. I put a coat of varnish over the finished piece for added protection.
Thanks Stephen....such a good comment! Haven't really found out how it works here...keeping contact and making comments...but using it I will probably find out.
I hope to be able , from São Paulo-Brazil, to spread the art of collage, because it is for me, one of the most important means of expression in the contemporary art.
nice to meet you Stephen...obviously a soulful spirit and I am always happy (not surprised) that strangers on similar paths always seem to intersect somehow....appreciate your comment...my volunteer work in havana truly is the most meaningful thing I have done as an artist. keep in touch, dd
What a lovely thing to say! I've been visiting with your own 'light' work. Love your books. Love your 31 Kisses. (Hope that won't be misconstrued)! Will treat myself to a book when I've had time to look through them all. Ann
Thanks you Stephen. Also thanking Drager Meurtant for his tip, leading me here.
Once I figured things out, you can count on my regular visits. For instance, I was trying to add a gift, but a complete book-work appeared, giving me the feeling that it was not so easy. Is there any money involved? And how much? I canceled the gift and by doing so I also canceled the comment.
Hope to encounter some (lots) interesting works of art here. X
Stephen thanks for checking out my work and making that observation. My stuff tends to be on the dark side. I try to emphasis both the positive and negative aspects of my search for some spirituality in this life.
Thank you for your comment. To tell you the truth, I am going to alter it slightly to get rid if the false vertical line that appears 2/3 across from the left. I didn't notice it before posting it onto this website. But thanks for those kind words.
Thanks for the kind words, Stephen. No one has ever told me that I have finesse. In fact, sometimes the opposite. Enjoyed seeing your work. I hope to have time to explore the site in the next few days.
I'm happy over there. I like the converstion and feedback. I think it is a bit more social. How are you doing ? I haven't loaded work here simply because I'm too lazy to change the image sizes, maybe soon.
