This work depicts two Dutch gentleman holding holding hands within a blue and white pastoral setting. The title “The Mollebos” is in reference to a rest area that became one of the most popular cruising spots for gay men living in the Netherlands in the 1990’s. For many visitors, this site served as an erotic space to realize sexual fantasies. The illustration was created using a collage of commercial / hobby ceramic decals and is presented upon a commercial blank porcelain plate.
