Since my father's passing I've been going through tons of photos to scan for my siblings, a very personal endeavor. I feel as if I am appropriating my family's history but in a loving way, and beginning to make these images I am seeing that montages are collages without the glue.

I enjoy this one too. I like how you layered the image of your aunt over the tree which for me is a powerful symbol for strength and life. I also see a parallel in the fact that we also set down roots and create a life for ourselves and family the best that we can.

Nice idea Stephen. I have been thinking about all our family pictures and what I could do with them. I like this. I also want to do a piece for a friend who lost her two ponies recently, she had them for thirty years some thing like this would be nice.
