Brushes, Hammers, Paste and Nails
I've really had a fun time making these monochromatic cards for this month's trade! I don't normally work with this much pink, but hey - it's Breast Cancer Awareness month, so I thought I'd give it a try (and remind EVERY WOMAN to schedule an appointment for a mammogram, if they haven't done so already!).
I started with just some regular scrapbook paper and went from there. The pensive gentleman is from a vintage Good Housekeeping mag from 1957; the flowers are rub-ons and handmade paper. The upper right is a vintage snippet of a map of Washington state, and the alphabet is from a Chinese lettering exercise book (I believe it's for learning English but I couldn't read it, so I could be wrong). The tiny mixer is from an old Mixmaster ad.
