Of all the months of the year the most melancholy seems to be the month of September. It starts out with the summer heat still trying to reach out and keep a final hold on the warmth of the past season but in just a few weeks the days lose the humidity and soon the cooler air comes in and the nights turn to that feeling of Autumn that must eventually come. It is a beautiful time of the year. The sky seems a different shade of blue this time of year and then at sunset turns the most amazing shades of pinks and lavenders. The leaves also reach their peak colors in most places and is a wonder to see. This time also makes a person to start to think about the past year and whatever changes may have happened either good or bad. September just seems to have many ghosts of memories.

Thanks Stephen! Glad you like it.
Great description for the myriad of feelings Autumn conjures. Being a bit of a melancholy brooder, it is still my favorite season. Thank you for your image.
