My grandparents’ house was sided with asphalt bricks. Sedum, or “live-forevers” as Grandma called them, thrived in the yard. When I was a child, we sat on her screened-in porch--where sea shells were displayed on the ledge-- and talked for hours. The locket contains a lock of her hair.
