It is like airbrush painting with pulp instead of ink or paint.  I use a sprayer with a large hopper connected to a compressor (normally used for textured plaster ceilings).  I color the pulp (cotton fibers or rag which have been beaten to a fine pulp) with mineral pigments to create a color palate. I spray pulp on to a ground.  The pulp adheres to fibrous grounds such as paper and cloth. I usually use my own handmade papers as ground, then press in a hydrqulic press and allow to dry over the next few days.

Susan, I really like the imagery and the use of line on this one. Could you say a little bit about "pulp painting" ?
