This was the first memory box I made ,and started my love affair with assemblage When I was twenty my Father suddenly passed away, at the time I was carrying his first granddaughter .I wanted to encapsulate some early memories of him and his love for plants .Some of my happiest earliest childhood recollections were of time spent in the garden. I included a small photograph of my daughter as by way of a link between them although they never met, I wanted this memory box to convey a spiritual connection between them. I recently painted a picture of the box as a way of revisiting these memories and found it to be an intresting process in how we perceive the past ,and how just a fleeting recollection of a sight ,sound or even smell no matter how small can evoke memories and can have a profound effect on our lives

I guess, we are thinking about spiritual connection in a same way. I like your boxes very well.
