What kind of art do you do?
My heart is set on collage - mostly traditional cut and paste.

What is the guiding principle in your art?
Collages are the perfect medium for me. I love how accidentally and unpredictable they are. Even if I have a basic concept in my mind it always depends on the material that is available. I like cutting and glueing elements taken from maps, magazines and books from the 1970s (and earlier) the most because they are often a little bizarre and moreover very colorful. Usually I prefer to combine only a few elements. I like how independent pieces are combined and then work together as one. This way of "telling" stories is fascinating for me. In the end it is always a journey and I never know where it takes me. My motto: I cut, therefore I am!

    Hi Sabine

    I was realising many paintings and drawings in the past, but from time to time I realised also collages and assemblages. Many years ago I was also very active in the international Mail Art-movement ( long before 2000 ) and than I realised little collages like THE SECRET LETTER. The last 2 years they became more 3 dim. ! I like it when you can walk arround like a sculpture in a room. I have still to make some photos of the older assemblages and collages, and than I will show them also here.  Sometimes I'm realising assemblages you can put against a wall like a painting ( like ' The relativity of time ' I & II > I'm still busy with the second one...). For some of the collages and assemblages I like to use pieces of nature like stones, feathers, etc.
