The icon image was in response to a body of work titled Ancient Future which was a collaboration with a few artist in Toronto based at Collage Gallery. If you are interested there is a slide show which can be viewed on our site collagegallery.org under past shows titled ancient future.  

I am just becoming familiar with the site, but have no regrets being in this shared space. I enjoy being in front of many of your contributions.

I find Deviant Art interresting because you can be part of specialized groups.It's stimulating to see the work of the other artists.

But the most satisfying are the collaborations and the challenges  : a group like Artful Dodgers is really interresting for that. The projects are very different : collaborations on playing cards, altered books or postcards ; challenge on classical portraits... I invite you to go and watch this group http://artfuldodgers.deviantart.com/ 

Work with other artists on the same collage or the same theme makes me think about my own work. Contrary to what I thought starting this experiment, each collaborator retains its personality and perhaps it's even more asserted !
