<p>When I was doing more watercolor I used that approach quite a bit. Discarded pieces were cut into square "tiles" and then reassembled into new pieces, sometimes mixed with tiles of appropriated images and sometimes on their own. I also cut out many of the individual brush stokes where I was testing color so I have a bunch of rectangular tiles with usually one brush stroke per tile. I still have those somewhere, never used them.</p>

<p>Have you thought of scanning each and reducing them to say 2" x 3" each, printing them, cutting them out and then assembling all 8 of them back on to one 8 x 10 sheet?</p>
